Systems Engineer/Manager of EMEA

Job Description:
EMEA based Customer Engineer/manager required by Widevine® Technologies. Be the first member of our European engineering team, specialising in the supply, installation and maintenance of leading edge content security solutions. Due to an ever increasing customer base, we now require an experienced, customer focused engineering team to look after key clients in the European, Middle Eastern and African areas. Responsibilities will primarily focus on the engineering/ project management activities for award of contract throughout maintenance and technical support of Widevine Cypher®, although you will also get involved in from time to time, in EMEA pre-sales activities. To succeed you will have a minimum of eight years experience in a similar role and ideally hold the relevant network certifications. Knowledge of data networking is preferred and a CCNA accreditation would be advantageous although not essential. Experience in creating a customer engineering function from the ground up and leading a customer facing engineering team is a plus. Key Responsibilities:
Widevine is looking for a highly seasoned and experienced Systems Engineer/Manager to install and support Widevine Cypher customers. Be in on the ground floor of this new business group. This a highly visible technical leadership position within Widevine Technologies.
  • Widevine Cypher has recently been selected as the next generation conditional access and DRM solution for multiple Telco video operators throughout Europe.
  • Project management
  • Customer Implementation design, Installation and acceptance testing.
  • Customer Training.
  • Overall Customer satisfaction and technical support for the region.
  • Respond to customer inquiries for technical support via telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests.
  • Track and monitor open problems to insure service level standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot Widevine Cypher hardware/software problems.
  • Customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
The successful candidate absolutely must have exceptional customer service skills, including written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must also possess problem solving skills, excellent understanding of operating systems, networking and security principles, with good organization and communication.

  • Must have a "can do" attitude toward the goal of providing excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven success in interfacing with clients, with a professional and positive approach to problem resolution.
  • Absolutely must be a team player.
  • Network certifications desired
  • Project management and large scale system implementation required
  • Technical leadership skills a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years prior experience customer engineering.

Job Context:

  • Majority time spent sitting at a desk, using computer equipment. Lifting and equipment installation may be required.
  • Location: Within EMEA
  • Domestic and International travel up to 75%
