Anti-Piracy Discussion Panel at Streaming Media West To be Hosted by Widevine Technologies'™ Chief Engineer


Los Angeles, CA, April 18, 2002 – Widevine Technologies'™ chief engineer, Reza Rassool, will lead a panel discussion addressing anti-piracy trends and technologies in the entertainment industry at the upcoming Streaming Media West 2002 Conference, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

This panel of experts will discuss the current issues of infringements on fair use, and civil liberties will be weighed against those of property rights. They will cover technologies such as; watermarking, fingerprinting and encryption to open a forum that will help us develop better tools and practices that protect both the creative product as well as individual liberties.
