Widevine® Demonstrates Cypher 4.0: Multiplatform, Multiformat Content Protection at NXTcomm 2007, Chicago, June 19-21, Booth #1145

Widevine speaks on content protection at conferences for ATIS, Digital Hollywood & Telcommunications Magazine’s IP Video Village


SEATTLE, WA, June 5, 2007 –Widevine Technologies, the leading provider of downloadable conditional access, digital rights management and digital copy protection solutions for 120+ video operators worldwide, will speak on content security at three conferences and demonstrate solutions to enable secure delivery of linear broadcast, VOD, streamed media and file downloads at NXTcomm 2007.

  • Widevine Cypher: Now in its fourth generation, Widevine Cypher 4.0 secures multimedia delivery to a wide range of set-top boxes, PVRs and mobile devices. Product enhancements include improved performance and intuitive management for better operational efficiency as well as Tier 1 scalability for lower CAPEX in a fast growing video network. Expanded ecosystem support now includes new set top box and PVR support for popular HD devices. Designed to meet the conditional access and DRM requirements of telco, cable, internet, mobile and satellite service providers, Widevine Cypher offers the only multiformat and multiplatform content protection solution for video operators.

  • Widevine Mensor: Widevine Mensor offers the only deployed forensic watermarking solution for video operators. It enables content owners, video aggregators and operators to identify and deter piracy. Widevine Mensor can enable operators to obtain earlier release windows, as content owner requirements begin to materialize.

  • ReplayTV will present its PC Edition HD DVR for IPTV operators. Widevine and ReplayTV are partnering to help operators rapidly deliver a secure solution without the hardware costs or middleware integration steps. Widevine Cypher for the PC and ReplayTV enable operators to deliver STB and PVR capabilities on the PC.
